Who Are We?

We are a new chapter branching out from InnovaYouth, located in the United Arab Emirates. 

The purpose of InnovaYouth is to develop active and compassionate lifelong learners,  inspire leadership through innovation, and enable students to make exceptional contributions in the world as global citizens.

Daniella Jeanne Le Roux

President

Daniella is the President of InnovaYouth UAE. She takes on the role of an adaptive and empathetic leader, having gotten the experience to live in South Africa, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Having had the unique opportunity to work in culturally and socially diverse areas around the globe, she brings such ethical and acquired knowledge into consideration when it comes to her work and leadership. She is the Deputy Head Girl in Gems Wellington Academy, where she aims to broaden her skills and experiences by helping students across her academy and across the Middle East. However, she is not only a strong representative of such qualities and encourages them, but her passion lies within the humanitarian side of students and young adults. She has a love for business, leadership, publish speaking, global engagement issues and the arts. Which has pushed her to create a more well-rounded leadership position as she works in InnovaYouth, always considering different avenues to explore to make an impact on students.

Anushka Varghese 

Senior Vice President

Anushka is the Vice President Of InnovaYouth UAE. She is a passionate and devoted leader when it comes to educating and empowering the minds of the youth. She strives for excellence through her determined nature and positive outlook. She currently holds multiple titles in Gems Wellington Academy, such as; prefect, sports captain and many more. While these roles showcase her leadership attributes that have taught her to lead with grace, she remains to be a selfless, responsible and courageous individual. Anushka aims to share her knowledge and experience that she has picked up through having worked with various organizations and leaders. Additionally, she has also been a valuable asset to multiple theatrical productions, displaying her determination to be part of a range of communities with the intent of building the leaders of tomorrow. She strives for academic excellence through means such as her LAMDA scholarship and her continuous peer mentoring, helping all those who require assistance with an open heart and mind. She has a strong mindset and perspective and isn’t one to shy away from sharing it.

Yaseen Mohamed A Aghil

Junior Vice President

Yaseen is the Junior Vice President of InnovaYouth UAE. He is a resilient and open-minded leader, but also a resourceful and self-reflective team worker, proudly serving as the current Deputy Head Boy. With a north African background and a global outlook on the world, Yaseen has been intrigued by business and entreprenership from a very young age and intends to pursue higher education in economics and business management in Europe. Having been inspired by many well-known entrepreneurs, including his very own father, Yaseen is no stranger to strategy and innovation and has created and expanded several successful business endeavours, starting in his early years of secondary school. His lateral thinking and communicative skills have further been attested to by the several medals he has won in the World’s scholar’s cup competition, in both the regional and global rounds, particularly in debating. Yaseen’s skills and interests seem to be neverending as he is also an avid horseracing enthusiast and is a rider himself. He hopes to further expand his skillset and expertise with Innovayouth while also making a positive and remarkable impact on the InnovaYouth's efforts and presence both globally and within the region.

Luca Rissi

Director of Business Development

Luca is the Director of Business Development of InnovaYouth UAE. He is a strong leader who uses his confidence and open minded thinking to empower students within the Gems Wellington Academy community. Luca has always been interested in business and entrepreneurship and aims to someday follow the footsteps of other successful business entrepreneurs such as Elon Musk. He also has a very strong business mindset and this can be shown from the experience he gained while working at a swiss internship for Swissphone. These opportunities allowed him to gain experience within the business sector and corporate world, that are not only used to benefit himself, but also InnovaYouth. He aims to study business marketing  and experience work in the marketing sector of large firms like Google, or found his own business after achieving a Master’s degree in business.

Megan Leanne Pereira 

Director of Programs

Megan is the Director of Programs of InnovaYouth UAE.  Originally from India, Megan has spent most of her life in the UAE, which has allowed her to develop a worldly-perspective and become more open-minded . In addition to that, Megan is the founder of the Peer Tutoring Programme at Gems Wellington Academy and has developed leadership, dedication and communication skills through this. Megan is also an advocate for sustainable living and runs an Instagram account dedicated to making people more aware about the negative effects of climate change. Furthermore, Megan has been previously awarded a LAMDA scholarship wherein she was able to develop her presentation skills and her confidence. Megan has also been a part of many collaborative competitions (like the Global Innovation Challenge) and is a firm believer in the importance of teamwork. Additionally,  Megan is also very passionate about the Sciences and aims to pursue Medicine in the future.

Alexia Correia Ferreira

Director of Conferences 

Alexia is the Director of Conferences of InnovaYouth UAE. Having lived in Brazil for most of her life, Alexia has seen first-hand the effect that lack of opportunity can have on a population; hence, she has spent most of her academic career focused on developing student opportunity and skills. Alongside her director of conference role at InnovaYouth, Alexia tutors English to Brazilian adults and is the COO of ‘StudySmart’: a website designed to aid students with their revision and hardships through secondary school. She has demonstrated a commitment to not only her local community but expanded her impact globally. In addition, Alexia wishes to become a surgeon where she will exercise all her empathetic and leadership skills on a daily basis.
